Lightbulb Pulsars from Ping Pong Balls

Hey,

Redhat here with a fun way to make "pulsars" for star ceilings.

Pulsars are just rotating collapsed stars shining like lighthouses in space.

To make them, I take a ping pong ball painted flat black and stick a flat head tack on the "equator" and another tack on the equator on the opposite side of the first tack.

Paint the tacks w/ a bright GID color like V10 and poke another hole in the ping pong ball's "north pole". Fashion a hook out of some blackened wire and attach the ball to a long black thread. Use another flat black tack (or tape) to hang it from the ceiling.

Now when you give the UV charged ping pong ball pulsar a little spin, it's beacon "pulses" like the real thing.
