Default Glow in the dark shoe laces

Hello
I want to make my shoe laces glow in the dark. The type of laces are the thick skateboard laces. I wasn't sure if I should just dip the laces in the glow in the dark. Is there any specific way that will have the best results? I want them to be one color in the daytime and glow a different color at night, for instance, is there a way I can add purple glow in the dark paint to my yellow laces and have them yellow in the day and purple at night? If this is impossible, I just want to know the best way to make my laces glow.

I think you need to get some glow paint and paint a stripe or dots on your laces. If you dip the laces they would end up being very stiff much like if you dipped them into a can of paint. The purple although it be a spectacular purple when it glows would likley not be bright enough to satisfy you. Stick with the green or ultra blue for a nice bright glow. Order sample pigment if you want to test out other colors. You could also get a couple of Andygold's key fobs and tie one to each shoe. He has a thread in the projects thread called keyfobs.

there is a way of making shoe laces glow in the dark. simply bend a glowy stick to make it glow and then snip one end with sissors. squeez out the liquid inside into a bowl and dip the laces in. Snip more glowy sticks if you need more glowing liquid. leave to dry.
